The weather in Alaska can vary greatly by place and season. Alaska experiences its summer from May through September. The driest months are May through June, and July brings temperatures that can reach up to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures begin to fall in August and September, bringing out stunning fall scenery. Various regions have different temperatures from October through March. The coastal regions, where the temperature rarely drops below 20 degrees, are more temperate. Snow begins to fall in arctic regions as early as October, when the temperature drops to minus 35 to minus 40 degrees. It rarely rains. Here, there are only these "normal" seasons. The shoulder seasons of spring and fall are occasionally mild during the day but remain frigid at night.
If you merely prepare for things that can be done in both temperature ranges if you're going to Alaska, you won't miss out on the most incredible vacation you could possibly imagine! Alaska should be included to your travel bucket list as a must-see and must-visit location!
